THE LOW ROLLING IN…

Mist descends like a travelling
troop of one-night only performers
taking the stage by storm—
beams divide and conquer
the town into two numbers:
those who rest and the restless
who want those who don’t to
epilogue and prologue by nature
and what came before
was song not orchestration.
